Lemon Chicken for Home

Ingredients (for 4–6 people)

  • 6 chicken breast fillets
  • salt and pepper
  • 1-2 tbsp Lemon Chicken Mix from Spice Shop
  • 4 lemons
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 125 ml olive oil
  • 1 kg floury potatoes
  • 500 g shallots
  • Fresh basil or fresh parsley

preparation

1. Season the chicken
Rub the chicken breast fillets generously with salt, pepper, and our Lemon Chicken Mix. Place them on a baking sheet greased with a little oil.

2. Mix the marinade
Squeeze the lemons and mix the juice (about 125 ml) in a bowl with salt and pepper. Press the garlic through a press and add it along with the olive oil (also about 125 ml).

3. Prepare potatoes & shallots
Peel the potatoes (halve or quarter larger pieces) and toss in the lemon and oil marinade. Peel the shallots and halve them if necessary.

4. Cover the baking tray
Distribute the potatoes and shallots among the chicken fillets. Pour the remaining lemon-oil marinade evenly over the top.

5. Baking
Place the baking tray in a cold oven . Set the oven to 200°C and bake on the middle rack for approximately 1 hour .

6. Finish
Before serving, finely chop the basil or parsley and sprinkle freshly over the dish.


Tip

The longer the potatoes marinate in the lemon-oil marinade, the more intense the flavor becomes!
