Origin and Production
"CLASSIC BLACK TEA WITH BERGAMOT".
LOOSE TEA BLEND – NOT IN A TEABAG.
Black Earl Grey is one of the most famous black tea classics. It is based on black tea, which is refined with the typical bergamot note, creating a tea with a strong black tea base and a clear citrus note.
Taste and Aroma
The taste is strong, slightly tart and elegantly citrusy. The black tea provides depth and structure, while bergamot adds a clear, slightly floral citrus note. This makes the tea classic, balanced and pleasantly invigorating.
Application
Ideal as a classic breakfast tea, afternoon tea or as a tea with pastries, cakes and small desserts.
For one cup, pour hot water over 1 teaspoon of the loose tea blend and let steep for 3–5 minutes. Enjoy pure, with milk, lemon or a little sugar, to taste.
Worth Knowing
Earl Grey is a traditional black tea that became known for its bergamot note. Bergamot is a citrus fruit whose scent lies between lemon, orange and slightly floral notes, giving the tea its distinctive character.
As black tea contains caffeine, it is particularly suitable for the morning or afternoon.
