This carefully crafted mulled wine spice blend combines the classic aromas of Ceylon cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, orange peel, lemon peel, and star anise. Packaged in convenient fabric bags, it allows for easy preparation of traditional mulled wine and adds a harmonious, wintry spice to your drink.
Taste and aroma
Warming, spicy and fruity, with dominant notes of cinnamon and citrus fruits, complemented by the depth of cardamom and cloves.
Application
Preparation: Heat 500 ml of water in a pot.
Add spices: Place a cloth bag containing the mulled wine spice mix and 4-5 tablespoons of sugar into the water.
Simmer: Let the mixture simmer over medium heat until the aromas develop and an intense fragrance is produced.
Add wine: Add a bottle (750 ml) of your preferred red wine.
Heating: Gently warm the mulled wine without bringing it to a boil to preserve the alcohol and aromas.
Seasoning: Remove the spice bag and adjust the sweetness to taste with additional sugar.
Serving: Serve the mulled wine hot and enjoy it.
Tip: This spice mix is also excellent for hot cider or apple juice as an alcohol-free alternative.
