Here's how to make your authentic chai at home:
- Carefully heat the spice mixture in the pot until an aromatic scent rises.
- Add 500 ml each of cold water and milk and bring to the boil over medium heat.
- As soon as the mixture is boiling, add 1 heaped tablespoon of black tea .
- Sweeten to taste – Indian chai MUST be sweet!
- After a few minutes of brewing, pour through a sieve and enjoy.
