Origin and production
“THE MILD SPICE CULTURE OF THE SOUTH”.
The South African Curry brings together influences from the diverse spice traditions of southern Africa. The blend combines flavors from different regions and is mostly produced by small, artisanal businesses. Gentle processing fully preserves the natural aromas and essential oils of the ingredients – for an authentic, harmonious taste experience.
Taste and aroma
A slightly sweet, nutty aroma, carried by coriander and cumin, defines the character of this blend. Ginger, fennel and cardamom add depth and warmth, while curry leaves bring a subtle freshness. Paprika and pepper provide a mild heat. Overall, the flavor is balanced, rounded and pleasantly mellow – ideal for anyone who prefers curry dishes with subtle spice.
Application
Perfect for marinades, grilled meat, stews, rice dishes and mild curries. To marinate, simply mix with oil and a little salt and rub it into the meat or vegetables. The aroma becomes especially intense if the marinade is left to infuse for a few hours or overnight. Also excellent for seasoning sauces and dips.
