GROUND ANISE

Anise originates from the eastern Mediterranean and Western Asia. After harvesting, the seeds are dried and then finely ground.

Sweet and spicy, with a slightly licorice-like undertone. Its warming note is reminiscent of fennel and star anise, but more subtle and softer.

Ideal for baked goods, desserts, and liqueurs like ouzo or pastis. Also goes well with bread, compote, and spicy meat dishes, as well as in curries and stews.
